PRODUCT CARE
Preserving Fine Leather
We recommend our traditional leather balm and brush, which have been specifically designed to be used on Beorma Leather Company products.
The Beorma brush should be used to remove dust, dirt, and surface impurities from your fine leather items, followed by the balm to nourish the leather and act as a water repellent. Simply apply the balm sparingly with a soft cloth and gently rub into the surface of the leather.
LEATHER COLOUR DISCLAIMER
Leather is a natural product, meaning it may exhibit variations in colour, texture, and grain. These characteristics are inherent to the material and should not be considered as defects.
Please note that the colour representation of leather products on the website may differ slightly due to the natural dyes and finishes used during the tanning process, as well as the individual settings of computer monitors or mobile devices. We strive to provide accurate product images and descriptions.
Leather is a durable and long-lasting material, but it is not indestructible. It will develop natural wear and a beautiful patina over time, which we believe adds to its character and charm whilst telling the story of its journey with you. To maintain the quality and prolong the lifespan of your leather product, we recommend following the care instructions provided.
Leather is susceptible to moisture, extreme heat, and direct sunlight, which can affect its appearance and longevity. We advise to avoid exposing your leather product to prolonged periods of these conditions to preserve its natural beauty.
We select high-quality leather, however please be aware that due to the nature of the material, minor variations may be present. We assure you that these unique characteristics do not compromise the overall quality or functionality of the product.
By purchasing and using leather products, you acknowledge and accept the natural attributes and variations that come with this exquisite material. We appreciate your understanding and invite you to embrace the inherent beauty and individuality that leather brings to each product.
Waxed Vegetable Tanned Leather
This leather is known for its unique pull-up effect, which creates distinctive colour variations and enhances the leather’s natural beauty. This effect occurs when the leather is stretched or folded, causing the oils and waxes to migrate and change the colour temporarily.
The leather may exhibit lightening or darkening of colour in areas of stress or movement. This is a natural characteristic of the leather and should not be considered a defect. In fact, it adds to the charm and individuality of each piece, showcasing the leather’s natural patina and unique character.
It is important to note that the pull-up effect can be more pronounced in some of our products more than others due to the nature of leather being a natural product. The extent and intensity of the colour variation may vary from one piece to another, as each hide responds uniquely to the waxing process. We encourage you to embrace and appreciate the inherent beauty of this leather, including its pull-up effect and the ever-changing hues it exhibits over time. These variations are a testament to the authenticity and quality of the leather and ensures that your product is truly unique and has its own distinct personality that tells a story through its evolving appearance.
By choosing a product made from this leather, you acknowledge and accept the inherent colour variations and pull-up effect that come with this exceptional material. We hope you enjoy the unique and evolving nature of your leather item, knowing that it will develop its own distinct character and become even more beautiful with age.
